1. About CashCoin

CashCoin is a digital promotional rewards program operated by DataWaves Software Solutions LLP. Users earn non-transferable reward points (“CashCoins”) by participating in activities such as surveys, app trials, content viewing, and promotional offers.

2. No Stored Value, Wallet, or PPI Services

CashCoin does NOT provide any financial service that involves:

  • Digital wallet services
  • Stored value accounts
  • Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs)
  • Money deposits, withdrawals, or transfers
  • Payment processing or settlement for third-party services
  • Peer-to-peer transfers

Users cannot store money, transfer funds, withdraw balances, or use CashCoin to make payments.

3. RBI Compliance Statement

CashCoin does not fall under the scope of:

  • RBI’s Master Directions on Prepaid Payment Instruments (2021)
  • Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007

Because CashCoin:

  • does not load or store monetary value,
  • does not issue PPIs, wallets, or payment tools,
  • does not handle user funds,
  • and issues rewards solely as promotional incentives.

All rewards (e.g., gift vouchers, redeem codes, UPI-based vouchers, cashback incentives) are funded directly from business revenue generated through advertising and affiliate partnerships — not from user money.

4. SEBI Compliance Statement

CashCoin:

  • does not provide investment advice,
  • does not offer securities, mutual funds, or trading products,
  • does not operate as an advisory or brokerage service,
  • does not fall under SEBI’s regulatory framework.

Therefore, CashCoin does not require any SEBI license or registration.

5. Why CashCoin Is Exempt

CashCoin qualifies as an Exempt Financial Services Advertiser because:

  • It is a promotional rewards program.
  • No financial instrument is issued.
  • No value is stored, transferred, or processed.
  • No RBI/SEBI regulated activity is performed.

CashCoin is a marketing-based incentive system, not a payment or financial product.
